
Welcome! I’m thrilled to have you here as part of this learning community. With over seven years of experience as an educator, I specialize in intervention and academic support for K-8 learners. My experience includes RTI, culturally responsive teaching, and arts integration, allowing me to create engaging, inclusive resources for diverse learners.
My Teaching Philosophy
I believe in meeting learners where they are and guiding them toward success in a way that fits their unique needs. My teaching approach emphasizes differentiation, culturally responsive practices, and creativity, ensuring each student feels supported, challenged, and valued. As an advocate for neurodivergent and gifted learners, I focus on providing tools that foster independence, confidence, and resilience. I strive to balance structure, engagement, and adaptability to suit various learning styles.
My Professional Journey
My passion for education is rooted in my experiences as a previously gifted learner. I understand firsthand the importance of tailored support and individualized learning approaches. Over the years, I have:
- Earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music
- A Bachelor’s in Human Behavior with a specialization in Child Development.
- Completed a Master’s degree in Special Education: Mild to Moderate Disabilities.
- Obtained certifications in:
- Therapeutic Crisis Intervention
- Structured Dyslexia Intervention
- STEAM Level 1 Specialist
- Level 6 Sukui Violin/Viola/Piano teacher

- Earning a Master’s endorsement in Math Learning Disabilities.
- Becoming a Certified STEAM Level 1 Specialist and Arts Integration facilitator.
- Successfully supporting neurodivergent and gifted learners in achieving academic and personal milestones.
- Being recognized for workshop facilitation and teacher training in culturally responsive education.
- Witnessing my students grow in confidence and excel in academic challenges through personalized intervention plans.
- Celebrating students who have gained acceptance into youth orchestras, thrived in academic competitions, and discovered their love for learning.
Beyond Education
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my toddler, two dogs, and husband. I have a passion for gardening, taekwondo, pilates, music, and hobby baking and cooking. I believe that education should address both academic challenges and social-emotional growth, ensuring that each learner is empowered to reach their full potential.
